ON A HUNT FOR NAIL ART DESIGNS?

So I realized I probably haven't touched on the topic of nails, or mentioned it for awhile other than my IG and Facebook so I thought today I might do a post on nails! For the longest time I am super thankful to be able to have my nails sponsored by various nail salons and they have all been really good and well to me and in taking care of my nails. For almost a little more than a year or so now I have been with The Nail Artelier and they have done the chio-est nail art and designs and they are all so detailed and skilfully painted on! I have a hashtag on instagram which compiles more of the designs that they have done for me so far under #ponyxthenaliartelier

For the month of June I decided to work around the color Pink! I have very selective colors when it comes to doing my nails... I tend to go back and forth with pink, blue, purple and especially black haha. Came across a marble effect design online and decided that I wanted that for my nails! 

And tadah!!! Here's the end result! Super in love with the results and I can vouch that pictures does the real thing no justice! The marbling effect is done is layers hence it looks really 3D in real life! A huge thank you to Jac who always helps me paint in detail that sometimes I felt bad for choosing that design cos I didn't know it will be that much work!

So while we are on the topic of nail art.. Have you ever had problems finding designs or thinking of what to do? Trust me I get that ALOT!!! Here's a tip or two on how I find inspirations or references on which designs I decide to get done each month! 

I don't know about you but I'm a sucker for Japanese nail art! The first place I would browse will be Instagram! I have followed a few Japanese nail parlours and I would click on this particular hashtag that most of them would include in the posts and hat hashtag would looks something like this...

I'm guessing that means "nail art" (correct me if I'm wrong) because then it will bring me to a page filled with neverending pictures of various nail arts where I'm SURE you will find something!!!

The second place I will stalk nail art designs will be via this app "Girl's Pic" which is recommended to me by Ying from TNA and you can find tons of designs here also! Since the app is mostly in Jap, I have screenshot the steps to bring you to the Nail Art page! 

So with 2 simple clicks you can finding yourself browsing nail art heaven!!!! Hehe

And yes there you have it! I hope it helps in a way or another, especially if you are always clueless about what designs to do when you have you nails done! Fret not! I hope you find your next design really quickly the next time now that you'll know where to look!

SUPPLY & DEMAND + IJ REUNION

just a quick update for this space! nothing much came down this week since I just got back

from a short trip to Phuket hehe. 

 Gotta get my nails done the day after I touched down as my itchy fingers went to pick on my gelish

and I was so afraid that my nails would break haha

But anyhoos, The Nail Artelier did such an awesome job with my July nails!!!

I stuck with the crushed shells and seashell embellishments again because I didn't get enough of them last month and asked for a darker shade of color this time for a change :) 

I'm soooo happy with the design, a huge thank you to The Nail Artelier again for doing such a wonderful job x

C suggested that we have brunch at Supply and Demand at Orchard Gateway so we had a nice time

with the food and catching up with one another there!

Yep.. a situation like this is no longer new #beforemealhabits

Not sure what exactly is was they ordered lol but it tasted not bad!

didn't eat much as I had lunch earlier so the best part of the whole meet-up was talking and 

updating each other on our lives. I can't believe it but it's been 5 years since we've graduated!

Definitely didn't seem like 5 years to me :/

Nevertheless, I love you girls hehe!!!♥ So glad that this brunch session happened x

About 2 weeks ago, I got my monthly manicure done by none other than The Nail Artelier!

BACK IN SUNNY SG!

I'm...................BACK!!!

After a short break away from work/blogging/the crazy singapore heat, I'm back again~

For those who've been keeping up with me on instagram (@ponyyzz) you would have known that

I flew to Hong Kong last Wednesday for a getaway :)

I know many of you are already asking for a blog post so I'll start working on it and hopefully have it

up by this week or so!

Just to start of the week and break the hiatus on my blog from my break, here's a quick update!

I would like to thank my awesome nail and hair sponsors for giving me nice hair and nails for my trip :)

This month, I was really busy and haven't had the time to source for nail designs. I used to browse tons of nail art pictures online to find something that I would like to have on my nails but this time I went with 0 ideas. Thankfully for The Nail Artelier, they have magazines and books with soooo many designs for me to choose from!!! I managed to pick 1 and with a few person tweaks here's what I got!

I love how a thin black coat of polish can create a sheer and 'stocking-like' effect! My nails were painted a really light shade of pink which stood out against the black. Added off with some light floral and lace details the design was complete! Couldn't have asked for more!!!

THE NAIL ARTELIER

How many of you girls have the stinky habit of peeling the polishes off your nails..?

I DO!

It's such a bad habit but it just irks me when my polishes chips and there's just this part that lifts up and allows me to peel the rest of the polishes off, ESPECIALLY IF THEY'RE GEL POLISHES HAHA

So that was what I did and it damaged my nails sooo terribly till I had to use normal polish to try cover it up.. which failed as well as they kept chipping and I was stuck with ugly nails :(

Time... for a manicure!!!

The Nail Artelier is built around the theme of Alice in Wonderland and within the shop you can see hints and accents derived from the story which makes it really whimsical and quirky :)

Something really nice and new, I like how peaceful it is up there too!

I couldn't keep my eyes off the place as there was so much I could look at!

Also, I peeked at some of the designs which they've done and came up with and I love them so much I had a hard time deciding what nails to pick for the day. I even planned what I want to do the next time I'm back hehe. Super fast right!

Stared at my ugly nails while waiting..... oh my god I should stop peeling them

*TIP FOR EVERY GIRL: DON'T PEEL THE GEL POLISHES OFF YOUR NAILS!!!*

after getting my toes painted a nice coat of red (just nice for CNY hehe) it was time for me to 

get my fingernails done!!! 

and call me pantang or whatsoever but check out my CHINESE NEW YEAR NAILS!!!

Each and every detail was hand-painted slowly and really skillfully by Jaclyn the nail-tech who's assigned to do my nails for me and she did such a wonderful job! :) 

Check out the fortune kitty on my thumb! And the chinese opera lady on my ring finger too!!! 

I am so glad to be able to have such pretty and cute nails just in time for CNY :)
