herrrrrrrrroes! how is everyone's first week into 2012?

I spent mine slumming in bed most of the time with my beebs....hehe feeling super guilty already

but I can't help it. Heading out really doesn't appeal to me anymore (not for the time being)

Planning to stay home and save $$$!

I would really like to save up and go on holiday soon :(

& not to mention, 2012 marks the start of my...plans hehe *rubs hands*

Ok i didn't even bother to do a countdown la, I was busy looking out the window

but NO? Maybe only about 30-50 people out there, sitting around and smoking.

I still thought like maybe when it was about to strike 12 then more people will appear or something

but neh..... till i heard someone shout HAPPY NEW YEAR downstairs then I figured it was 12.

meh.

so much for an exciting countdown to 2012. LOL

but its okay, was never an enthusiast towards the new year. More enthu for Christmas hehe.

then we met the clan and headed to Home Club

and of cos, the GMAX to welcome 2012!!!!

caught Mission Impossible 4 and the return of Laughing 哥.

MI 4 was damn damn damn good!!! omg I haven't watched the previous movies but

the 4th one was two thumbs up man! Definitely will make time to watch the first 3 movies hehe

the Laughing 哥 one I don't get tho, but my beebee's been following up on the drama

but she concluded as well that the movie sucked. So to those who watches the drama,

just stick to the unfinished ending hahaha.

Bcos from how Zaus says it, the drama serial was damn damn damn good!

So instead of spoiling the 'goodness' of the series,

DON'T-WATCH-THE-MOVIE

SOOOOOO, I'M BACK!!!

Heheheehheeheh, took a break right after Christmas from the cyber-world....

if you don't count tweeting uh hehe. But mostly from blogging/emails etc.

cos December was waaaaay hectic with christmas shopping, vlogmas, preparation for Vaunt

literally knocked me off my feet! wasn't prepared for so much in a month that

after Christmas i literally died. So so so tired everyday!

(even up till today) haha

I kno I haven't got the final VLOGMAS videos up yet, will be up soon

sorry for uploading it so late :(

So aside from all that, here are some pixs from Vaunt! Didn't manage to take many

For eve we had a small gathering over at my place which consisted of

and for Christmas my baby got me....

super unexpected cos we were both so broke towards the end of December

I really wasn't expecting anything at all! And the best part was that she said she had

many clothes stuffed in there to notice.

2011 for me was a roller coaster ride for me. ( i think every year is) LOL

I also met new friends, started school, erm nothing much exciting really

and most importantly met my dearest girfriend!!!

I got to spend the last few hours of 2011 with you which ended it perfectly.

Time to leave 2011 and it's imperfections behind and embrace 2012 with open arms

a fresh new start and a new beginning, not only for me but for everyone else :)

I've had a few New Year Resolution written down days ago and I'm determined to have

them done/fulfilled. This year I'm gonna be 20.... (omg so old)

which means bigger responsibilities and lesser time to play or fool around.

never have I actually looked forward to a new year other than this year,

not sure why as well but I'm looking at things at a better and bigger perspective!

Am hoping for this year to be a lot better hehe lots of things to look out for as well

So most of you would have probably heard of Vaunt.

But what exactly IS Vaunt?

Vaunt is a Music and Fashion Festival which is currently running towards her 6th year

organized by The Youth Empire, Smoove Productions and Clicknetwork.tv

This year for Vaunt's fashion showcase, they'll be 10 models (including me...heehee)

vying for the title of the winning model for Vaunt!

So as you all know, I managed to snag some products from the Vaunt Episode shoot

and I've decided to try one of many products I got from Liese!

so I chose the Liese Designing Jelly!

Since I was gonna straighten my hair, I went with the Green bottle which is designed

So here I go!

Great design for people with long nails (eg. ME)

I love how the product doesn't stay sticky on your fingers like some does?

It instantly dries after you apply it on your hair!!!

I LOVE how the product feels in my hair, it's so natural and doesn't show that

I've product in it. Not to mention it leaves your hair sweet smelling

So I visited Autumn's Nail Spa last week...

So many colors to choose from!!!

Cosy and pretty interior :)

For those who wants and are interested in doing pretty intricate nail art I recommend you to

try out the manicurist who did mine! (the girl above)

There are a few in the shop but Lady Boss recommended her

to me cos she's good with doing such nail arts and will try her best to

do it to make it look like as close as the design that you specifically want!

So you can try requesting for her when you go there and do yours!

(I don't know her name tho but you can try asking in the shop for the one who did my nails hehe)

Since i was so persistent on celebrating halloween we decided to go fo
Spooktacular a day after.. this time with mama zhuo papa zhuo and b!
bought the tixs for the 3 trails one....

tho the q wasn't as long as compared to USS's
(i think cos there was 6 haunted trails instead of 2 so the crowd was pretty much separated)
but we still had to q..? about like 20-30 mins only fo some ride
BUT ALL'S GOOD YO!

Sooo i've decided to upload pictures from my very impromptu trip to

Chinatown Food Street!!!

headed there yesterday for dinner, and btw (it was my very first time) so I was quite stoked!

whenever I travel to places like Chinatown... Little India..... I tend to get lost there easily cause it doesn't even feel like we're in Singapore... Haha

and not to mention, I get quite amazed when I see things that I'll least expect to see!

so yes....... have fun visually indulging in my 'montage' of my trip there yesterday.

It's fully operates only at night, so you can always head there for dinner and supper!

The Char Kway Teow is indeed highly recommended, as well as Hokkien Mee hehe

I super love the atmosphere there, its something different and new!

gives you the feel of dining back in the olden days when everyone eats by old shophouses

in the streets..... with the street side stalls and all that. So nostalgic!!!

So recently I've learnt that Chinatown Food Street will be undergoing a facelift!

Meaning we'll have a new Chinatown Food Street!

(which also suggests no char kway teow for me when they're undergoing works)

and what's good for us is that they want the public (YOURS+MINE) opinion on

how the new Chinatown Food Street should look like!

Whahahahahahhh

*confidently* we are gonna determine the fate of a historical place in SINGAPORE!!!

Haha, okay la. maybe not say determine or what, but the public gets to throw in their

opinion and also give their feedback on the upcoming facelift!

Personally I'm torn between number 1 and 3...... cos I find that both appeal to me

way more than the 2nd.

But if i were to make a final decision I would go with 3! Loving the lantern-ny shelter thing

You skip all kinds of registration...filling up pages of information bla bla bla..

If you're new to Gushcloud: after signing in it will take approximately 1 - 1.5 minutes to calculate

your gushscore before being directed to your Dashboard!

So after signing in you should come to a page like this.. which is also the Dashboard!

Birthday and Dinos

So firstly..... Happy Hari Raya! To all those who're celebrating {◕ ◡ ◕}

Just uploaded tons of photos from my camera and I've decided to slowly blog em out
so feast your eyes cos these few days I will be posting lots of photos! Haha

so from where i last left of...... was Tammy's birthday!!!
haha yes yes last to blog about it, plus its already Nov (-_-) slow max

so we had dinner at Japanese buffet dinner at Iridori! Lots of yummy food omg
just that what we didn't like was their service... maybe because there were alot of us
or something, but they were really slow and sometimes even ignored our orders
(◕︵◕)

boo! but nonetheless the food, the company and everything else was awesome!
so happy to see everyone, cos that time I haven't met tams and dx in a long time
ntm fendi and hosan and mars too, so was really happy we all got to get together hehehe

So fast forward to a few days after that, Tamsy and I were invited to attend the media preview of
the Dinosaurs LIVE exhibition at Science Center

the exhibition will be held at: The Annexe, Science Center Singapore
from: 21st October 2011 to 26th February 2012

so all enthusiastic dino fans...curious human beings and fellow aliens from outerspace
do head down to the Science Center to catch the exhibition while its in town!

went through a quick briefing and short introduction to what we're about to expect..

There's this Dinosaurs Live app on Apple's app store where you can download for free
and when you hold the ipad/iphone against the dinosaurs posters, you get to see the Dinos in the
pictures come to live via Augmented Reality technology.

doesn't exactly show on pictures but I swear I mean it when I say,
it Pops out and walk around your Ipad/iphone... Like 3D without glasses? Hahahaha
and anyone can download it! as long as you see the Dinosaurs Live posters...
(eg. bus stops, mrt stations, science center... anywhere with the posters)
you can use the app on it and see it come to live!

Damn x10 amazing. Tammy and I stood here for a good 10 minutes just watching
the person demo it to the crowd.. ha ha ha ha 'sua-koo poks' are us
*shrugs*

so.. off to the tour of the exhibition! hehe
you get to see a giant bone structure of what I presume is.... A t-rex right smack at the entrance
of the exhibit. Not bad not bad... reminds me of Night at the Museum. Haha

Tams and her Dino pose... secretly a dinosaur wannabe.

We were led into the exhibition by Professor Patricia Vickers a renowned palentologist
and she talked us through every exhibit and explained about every dinosaurs's traits, living habits.. etc

and i found it super cool bcos its like, Dinosaurs are her LIFE!!! She knows so much about them and all
but the thing is.. I still don't know if they really existed? I mean, is it confirmed that they do?
And if so its quite sad that they're extinct..... I keep trying to imagine that they still do walk the earth
and somewhere out there there's really a place like Jurassic Park and all. Hahahaha

but yet again, its not nice to have a t-rex roaming orchard rd no...?
So i guess they were wiped off the earth for a reason. Haha
Like what tamsy tattoo says... I quote, "Everything happens for A reason"

quite incredible so they're made so real so you kinda feel like you're walking through mayb Night Safari?

there's also an interactive section at the end for kids... a dig pit where they get to dig for fossils
and a corner for them to color their favorite dinos!

after that we were served lunch and that was the end of the Dinosaurs Live exhibition for us!
I do recommend that you check it out if you're free... or if you have younger siblings and all
take them there! You get to learn quite abit, very educational for the young and old :)

Here are some Dino Fun facts that I was given on that day WHICH I would share with you guys now

Dinosaurs were reptiles and lived roughly 245 million years ago until they went extinct 65 million years ago
Dinosaurs lived in the Mesozoic era, which had 3 periods: Triassic, Jurassic and the Cretaceous
The word "dinosaur" was created by the British Scientist Richard Owen and comes from two greek words. Deinos means 'terrible' and sauros means "lizard"
The first documentary discovery of a dinosaur was that of a thigh bone found by Robert Plot, a museum curator, back in 1976. He had thought it belonged to a giant man but later was found to be part of a Megalosaurus (which looks something like this i think....)

I googled ok!! So I think it's this uh. Looks... "mega" haha

The first dinosaur skeleton was found in a Haddonfield, New Jersey clay pit in 1858. The dinosaur was named Hadrosaurus after the city.
Most paleontologists believe that birds probably evolved from maniraptors, a type of birdlike dinosaur. The Archaeropteryx is the oldest known fossil bird and dates from the Jurassic period (about 150 million years ago). It had many similarities to dinosaurs.
Most scientists accept the vast evidence of a large scale asteroid colliding with Earth and causing atmospheric changes and the K-T mass extinction.
The smallest dinosaur ever discovered was Compsognathus, a carnivorous dinosaur roughly the size of a chicken (hahahahaha) from the Jurassic period that was from 2.3 to 4.6 feet long (0.7-1.3m).
The biggest dinosaurs were the herbivorous Sauropods. which were gigantic, slow-moving dinosaurs from the late Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. They had very long necks and massive tails. The biggest carnivores were much smaller.
Since he only remains of dinosaurs are fossils, there is no way to accurately determine what color their skin was
There were no flying dinosaurs, only flying reptiles such as Pterosaurs

hehe so back to Science Center, we were then given a tour around the place and even got insights
on certain exhibitions that aren't even open to the public yet!

then it was time for out IMAX short movie, Flying Monsters!
I was quite blown away when i stepped into the theatre bcos never in 19 years of my life have I
seen the IMAX theatre before (sua koo rmb?) and I was like
"WAAAAAAAAAAA"

LITERALLY MIND BLOWN !!!

and when the movie played, it was so fantastic I can't describe it
haha the screen was so damn big!!! Tammy was like " I don't even know where to look"

tams kept sliding off her seat and eventually ended up sitting on the floor -_-

All in all the experience watching the movie was sooooo good! I will never forget it!
I keep saying like imagine if all the cinemas in singapore had the IMAX screens..... watch movies

so ended the tour with tammy and indonesian bloggers Clara and Diana
and it was quite a pleasure to be able to meet bloggers that are out of Singapore.
Not to mention they're so pretty and friendly! Quite an experience there (｡◕‿◕｡)

After that the girlfriend,

brought baby nate to explore the science center for abit,

and yep, left shortly after that as the place was closing and were supposed to meet baby D who was
waiting for us in town...

decided to catch Paranormal Activity 3 that very day and we had like 2 hours to kill
before the movie started.

So Bee, D and I chilled at Level 5. Hahahah cos my dearest gf played mj the night before and didn't
get any sleep cos she came out to meet me straight after, she was so tired she crashed.

quite a bit of time writing this, and those who're bored at home or have nothing to do
